Talking about suicide

Sometimes our customers will share they feel suicidal, or say things that imply this.

These should be treated as equally serious as they may not have plans now but could develop one later on.

Our customers might share;

  • Expressions of desperation or wishing they weren't born
  • Feelings of worthlessness or loneliness. May also feel like a burden.
  • Feelings of no hope for the future
  • Feelings of being trapped with no escape

You can use BLAKE to guide you through the conversation with the customer.

We may not need to contact authorities straight away but it's important you have the support next to you, and, we're able to react quickly if we need to.
